MINUTES
  •  It was decided that there is a need of a major publicity in early 2008 i.e. in March before the centenary year 2009 in order to gather funds, ideas, views and more so to get in touch with the ex – students residing in and out of the country.
  • Forming a small group or cell or committee around the country and the world of ex students of Loreto Convent who are keen on taking part in this massive celebration. Where each cell or group or committee has the responsibility to get in touch with the ex students of their respective places, inform each of them about the programs and events going on in Loreto. Also to welcome ideas and funds in their own ways and report back to Loreto, Shillong.
  • Forming a committee in school itself by the teachers and the students in aid of the centenary celebration so that a little pressure is taken off the alumni. This committee will aid the alumni in sketching out fund raising and programs or events for the centenary celebration.
  • It was also decided for a general meeting to be held in the month of June or July with all the registered members of the alumni and all the ex students including the school authorities, the main aim of course being the centenary celebration.
  • Few ways for fund raising was also suggested not only in school but also with the general public invited, such as food festival and concerts. Another very interesting idea was holding an auction where the rich and the famous will be requested to offer their services followed by entertainment and dinner. The auction however was suggested to be held in the month of June.
  • The work for souvenir was advised to be started as soon as possible.
  • It was decided that the invitation for alumni membership should also be extended to the ex students boys who were at one time or the other a part of school.

 

    The next meeting to be held on March 15th 2008 at 2:30 pm
