Minutes of meeting
Date : 22nd Sept 2007
Timing : 3 -5 pm
Venue : Loreto School Hall
Objective : To select core Committee members for the Centenary Celebrations of the school from the batches of 1990’s and 2000’s.
Participants : Sr Celine , Girls of Batches of 1990’s- 2000’s
Total No. of Participants : 21
  • The upcoming Centenary Celebrations of the School for the year 2009 was briefed by Sr Celine and each participant introduced themselves to all members present .
  • A general discussion on the above mentioned topic was conducted and ideas were shared on how to bring about the program , raise necessary funds, and widen publicity. Details as listed in Annexure 1.

    However it was agreed that finalization of the charted programs , fund raising and publicity issues would be taken up in subsequent meetings along with senior batches of the 1980’s and earlier.

  • It was agreed unanimously that an alumnae magazine would be brought out to commemorate the occasion. The Contents of the magazine would be finalized on subsequent meetings.
  • An open election for Committee members from those present in the meeting was held. The following members were selected :

  • The meeting was concluded with tea and light refreshment.
  • Date and venue for the next meeting of Core Committee members to be finalized and announced.

    Programs chartered out as a result of discussion held on the 22nd of Sept 2007 with alumnae members of the batches 1990’s – 2000’s.

    • Games and Matches
    • Talent Shows
    • A Fete
    • General Prayer and Recollection.
    • Discussion and Talk and bringing of an external resource person (ITC personnel from Kolkatta was suggested by Sr Celine.)
    • Award ceremony to those who are outstanding in their field of work.
    • Handing of Support to the needs of underprivileged. This could be narrowed to two fields and to a single person in each category : a) Education b) Medical Assistance
    • Video and Photography Display of the school thro’ the ages or any other Art work of interest.
    • Release of souvenirs.
    • A family Dinner and the presence of a Musical Band.

      Suggestions for publicity issues: a)News Paper b)Cable TV running Advertisements c)Cable TV Flashes d)Website and Emails e)Banners f)Distribution of local flyers in Colleges and University.

      Other Issues :
      a) Fund Raising issues thro’ Fete ,raising of stalls, Donations. b) Sponsors for Advertisements of Magazine .
