Minutes of the meeting held on the 27/09/2008

- The meeting started with the Secretary briefing all the members present on the meeting which the executive members had with the new patron of LAAS, Sr Ponnamma on Thursday the 18th of Sept 2008
It was informed that a written permission had been forwarded by the executive members on Sisters Ponnamma advice to the Loreto Institutions Management Team for their acquiescence and “go-ahead” statement with the various proposals and programs for the Centenary Celebrations.
- It was decided in the meeting in the presence of the Souvenir in charge that there will be only one consolidated Souvenir Magazine for the Centenary from the School and the Alumni, however the sections would be differentiated as LORETO “past and present” and two different Editorial Boards would be
maintained.In this regard it was unanimously decided that the Alumni members would henceforth only look after the articles of the Alumnae Section of the magazine, and hand over all other related works like printing, publication, cover design, request for messages and all other work which had been identified earlier by the Alumnae Souvenir Committee to the school authorities.
- There was a discussion on utilisation of the Alumnae Funds ,and it was decided that there would be a clear distinction between A) funds collected and spent for the Centenary and B) funds for running the office of LAAS
Though there would be a single Bank A/C for this, the Treasurer of LAAS would maintain a detailed and elaborate account to distinguish between the two.
A resolution was made in the meeting that SPENDING any segment of the Funds collected by the Alumnae for the Centenary Cause will be done only after it has been passed by the Executive Body of LAAS through an Executive Body Meeting.
- It was decided in the meeting that the Cover imprinted for the DVD’s of the AROHA concert would be changed to avoid certain errors.
- In addition to the present existing committees ---
- Souvenir Committee, (ii) Event Management (iii) Finance Committee, the following new committees were formed and the members identified as follows
- REGISTRATION COMMITTEE(This committee will look after registration and membership details of Alumnae Members including those registered for the Centenary Celebrations.)

Assisting Members – Aashia Warjri, Balapynhun Tron, Lariphylla Myrthong - HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE (This committee will have the responsibility in serving and arranging food / tea and any other need in this respect which may arise in any future event.)
Member In charge – Rula Baruah
Assisting members – Halari Donka Syiemlieh, Audrea B Sohtun, Firstly Joy Mary Dkhar, Iarisa A R Dorphang - Computers and Media COMMITTEE (This committee will have the responsibility to perform proof reading and edit articles posted for the Alumnae website ,perform administrative website roles including all other works related to media ,website & Technology.)

Assisting members - Daiarisa Rumnong, Rashmi Pater, Madonna Marbaniang
The date for the next meeting was decided to be on Saturday the 18th of October at 2.30 pm in the school premises.
