Minutes of Meeting Dated 31st May 2008Date And Time: 31st May 2008 , 4.00 pm
Venue: Loreto Convent School Library
Objective:
- Review of tasks undertaken and proposals from the Souvenir Committee
- Discussion on preparations for the Fund raising Program Dinner on July 2008.
- Miscellaneous
- The meet for the evening started with reading of a Detailed Report that the Souvenir committee members proposed for initiating preliminary steps for compiling the Souvenir magazine to be released for the Centenary Celebrations
- A request was made to Esther Syiem , heading the Souvenir Committee to submit a soft copy of the Detailed Report to the Core Committee members so that the same could be made available for wider circulation including hosting it on the Alumni website and other Alumni Group Accounts.
- Sr Celine gave permission for Computers in the school to be used for any typing and printing work that is required be done with regard to the Souvenir Magazine.
- Efforts and progress taken by the Souvenir Team committee was appreciated by all members present.
- In the mean time Alumni members could start contributing various Articles for the Souvenir by posting their write ups / memoirs., etc to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
- Office items (comprising Letter Heads, envelopes, Stamp and inkpad, receipt books etc) were handed over to the Souvenir Committee members as per requirement placed for starting off their proposed work.
- The other major break through for the next Fund Raising Program in July 08 was the finalization of the venue and the Menu for the dinner. The details for the program will be taken up in the next meeting.
- Other miscellaneous issues discussed and decisions taken are briefed below:
- Candida gave a report of responses received from members circulated over the net on account of the Centenary Celebrations . It was also made known that 60% of Email Accounts as maintained in the alumni database bounced off.
- Mary Tariang initiated to take action in finding out if a duplicate copy of the Registration of LAAS as a Society could be obtained.
- Jennie Nampui would find out details of tax exemption and foreign cash transactions to the Alumni Bank A/c from reliable and known sources if any members from abroad would like to make contributions for the Centenary Cause.
- Madonna would take up ordering more receipt books and necessary stationery items for the office.
- A generalized Permission Letter from the District Commissioner for raising funds of all kinds - donations , sponsorships, transactions, etc for all programs relating to the Centenary Celebrations including , advertisements for the Souvenir to be drafted by a member and handed over to Pauline in the next meeting.
The next meeting would be held on Saturday 14th June in the School at 2.30 pm
