Minutes of Meeting Held on the 8th of Nov 2008.

  1. The minutes of the last meeting held on 18th Oct 2008 with Mother Provincial was approved and accordingly the following measures were adopted : 

    • The principal of Loreto Convent Shillong, Mrs Catherine Nongrum was co-opted as a Core member of the Executive Body Of LAAS. 

    • Rula Baruah was appointed as a full time treasurer of LAAS. 

    • A separate Centenary Fund Bank Account has been opened with the President of LAAS as the representative signatory on behalf of the Alumnae group. 

  2. It was agreed that the international logo of Loreto (as suggested by Sister Ponnamma Patron LAAS and Mother Superior of Loreto Shillong) be used by as the logo for the Centenary. 
  3. The theme for the Centenary has been accepted as “EMBRACING THE PAST , SHAPING THE FUTURE”. 
  4. It was decided that the Souvenir Shop will be opened during the Centenary Celebrations , items like Mugs, Plates & other trivia will be contributed by the school. T-Shirts for sale will be done by LAAS , any other suggestions and volunteers are welcomed. 
  5. The projected estimate of Expenses for the Centenary Celebrations in 2009 as presented by the school amounts to 14 lakhs. 
  6. It was decided that the Postage Stamp / 1st Day Cover to be released for the Centenary will be taken up by the school with the Post Office with immediate effect. 
  7. The participation fees for the Alumnae members for the Centenary stands as passed in the AGM on the 6th of Sept 2008 (i.e) Rs 1500/- for the working community and Rs 500/- for the student community..
  8. It was decided that the above fees will be collected from March 2009 onwards , the timing and date will be notified later.
  9. It was decided that the Alumnae will participate in the inauguration of the Centenary programs by presenting an item and has also been invited to be part of the choir in the Eucharistic Mass. 
  10. The Dinner Night Program for Alumnae members during the Centenary will be planned as soon as possible. 
  11. It was agreed that the principal of Loreto will sent an Invitation Letter to all Alumnae Members for Participation in the Centenary Program of the School in May 2009. 

The meeting ended with tea and light refreshment. 

The next meeting would be held on the 29th of Nov 2008 at 2.30 PM in the school premises.
