Objective
1)To settle and take account of Funds raised from stalls put up on the 22nd of April ‘08(the Junior School Sports Day).
2)To discuss on the next Fund raising Course of action for the 2nd of May 08, the school fete.

The total funds raised on the 22nd of April ‘08(the Junior School Sports Day) was accounted as Rs 6933/- . This amount was handed over to the General Secretary for depositing in the Alumni Bank Account in utilization towards the Centenary Celebrations of the school in May 2009.
The stalls to be put up by the Alumni members for the school fete on the 2nd of May , was finalized with RULA BARUAH as the coordinating member , JOSEPHINE THANGLURA AND MARY TARIANG as assisting members. All alumni members were urged to participate either in making posters / cutoffs / token or coupon tickets to be distributed to the participants or make themselves available to assist and give a helping hand in the above stalls set up on the mentioned date.
Two interesting events were finalized :
a) Putting – a Miniature Golf game stall
b) Vintage Car ride with professional photography
The next Fund Raising Event for the Centenary was decided to be a Grand Dinner Party with Light Music concert in the 1st week of July ’08, the venue and theme for the occasion would be finalized soon.
In regard to this event the following committee members have been assigned the
following responsibilities :
Coordinators for planning, organizing and sponsorship – MARY TARIANG, JOSEPHINE THANGLURA, LISA MARBANIANG.
Coordinator for Entertainment – PAULINE WARJRI
On behalf of LAAS , PAULINE WARJRI was designated the task to seek a written permission from the DC , East Khasi Hills , Shillong for the major fund raising event in the month of July.
To spread the word for the Centenary Celebrations to all Alumni members around the world more effectively and systematically, it was decided that CANDIDA SHADAP would take up the main Secretarial responsibility of Organising and Contacting members over the Net and keep them abreast of upcoming events or answer to any queries in relating to the Centenary Celebrations of the school.
New ideas / suggestions on celebration and inclusion in the programs listing for the Centenary Celebrations from the 1st to the 8th of May 2009 were discussed as listed below:
a) a good suggestion was put forward whereby days would be set apart for cut off years of different batches to assimilate and meet and the final 2-3 days would be a combined affair for all the batches.
b) A picnic /outing / a sports events (including for ex LC boys)/ A travelers Tale Dinner were some of the events suggested to be organized as per different batches of cut off years
c) A raffle draw was also suggested.
7. Other miscellaneous issues were also discussed like spreading the Centenary News Of the School via News paper, Cable News Flashes etc with free support from Alumni members who would be willing .
Forming of cells was again highlighted to be of much importance in order to keep in touch with other ex-students nationally and internationally as well.
All members were requested to extend their resources and initiate outstation members to form cells or chapters of Loreto Alumnae members in their present place of stay.
The next meeting will be held on Saturday the 31st of May 2008 at 4.00 PM in the school.
