- The dates for the centenary were finalized as to be held on from the 1st of May 2009 till the 8th of May having a special significance on the dates. 1st of May being the day of Our Lady and 8th of May being the first day ever of school. Consequently 1st of May will be the inauguration of the centenary.
- The food stall that was planned to be held on the 9th of April was postponed to be held on the 22nd of April 2008 on the Junior Sports event. The food stall being held on the 9th was cancelled because the stall spaces on the Sports Day were unavailable.
It was suggested that instead of continuously having small events, it was better to have big events where raising of funds is in a bigger count. - The auction/dinner night was discussed with great enthusiasm. Various alternate names were also recommended for this event. The price and selling of the tickets, along with drinks, food, etc. were also discussed but this will be finalized when it’s closer to the event.
- A very interesting idea for the centenary event was given. Auctioning of old school stuffs, for instance clock, lockers, projectors, desks, etc. which has a deep significance to those who have truly endured the memories of school and want to cherish it in a form of school antiques so to speak. This of course is planned keeping the ex-students in mind.
- A masquerade/costume ball was also suggested probable for end of the year event.
Coming to the souvenir, it is completely taken care by Esther. She has also set a separate team and would be handling it completely. - Forming of cells was again discussed to be of much importance in order to keep in touch with the other ex-students not only around the country but also around the world. Forming of cells was asked to be formed without further adieu.
- There are various websites having small or large groups of ex-students around the world. The committee members are given the tasks to scatter around and try getting a hold of such sites or advertise the alumni site for easier communication with the school.
- A separate sports day or a carnival was suggested exclusively for the ex-students.
For the 2nd of May this year, a very remarkable suggestion was made about having a jumble sale where the stuff that are lying around the house which are not required could be sold during the school fete to raise funds. Apart from this other interesting events that were suggested were miniature golf, vintage rides – old vintage cars can be taken out for spin for a short distance by spectators, obviously being charged for the rides. Photographs with special effects with the cars will also be arranged by professional photographers.
Next meeting to be held on 26th April at 2:30 pm.
