Minutes of  the Annual General Meeting of LAAS  held on 10/1/2009 

  1. The Welcome Note was delivered by Jennie Nampui, the President of LAAS and the need of co-ordination and helping hands was stressed upon the gathering for the success of the Centenary Functions in May 2009.
  2. The General Secretary, Clarissa Sawian then appraised the Gathering on the following issues:
    • The creation of A Centenary Fund Account , with representative signatories from the Convent Mother Superior of the Convent), the school Principal of the school), the Alumnae President of LAAS)
    • The Funds collected from the Aroha Concert by the Alumnae in the month of June 2008  have all been transferred to the above mentioned Fund Account.
  3. The Projected Estimated Expenditure for the Centenary from the Alumnae was presented to the gathering , the need to build up the required fund timely and promptly from Registration, Membership and Participation Fee was stressed upon.
  4. It was highlighted that Registration and Membership fees would be collected from members as usual and the Participation fees would be collected on the specified dates below:

      12th,13th,14th of March 2009 in the school premises between 11 .00 am – 1.pm. Members were requested to confirm their participation along with payment on the above dates and submit  a passport size photo for the issue of participation id cards.

      The rates as finalised in the last AGM on the 6th of Sept ‘08 stands as detailed below:

  5. Members who would like to bring family members for the alumnae dinner would have to confirm the number of extra members in advance for estimate and issue of coupons.
  6. The relevance of Post Centenary Projects to be undertaken by LAAS in collaboration with the Loreto Institute as discussed by the Loreto Provincial , Sister Antoinette on her meeting with the Executive members in the month of October 2008 was reiterated to the group assembled for the meet.
  7. While concluding the discussion for the day members were  requested to regularly visit the website www.lcalumni.org for latest updates and all details for the centenary program.
  8. There was a light interaction among the members , whereby the new members introduced themselves to the rest of the members present.
  9. The meeting ended with tea , light refreshment and  photo session.
  10. The date for the next meeting was fixed for the 24th of January 2009 at 1.30 PM in Pauline Warjri’s residence.
